Reynosa, Tamaulipas. En el marco del Día Internacional de la Lucha Contra el Cáncer de Mama, que se celebra el 19 de octubre, el Ayuntamiento y Sistema DIF Reynosa, convocaron a la población para atender el llamado y realizar una detección temprana y así superar esta enfermedad.
En compañía de Margarita Padrón de regidor de la comisión de salud, la directora del DIF Avelina Escobar, el presidente del patronato del DIf Carlos Peña Garza y miembros del Cabildo el presidente municipal, arrancó esta semana las consultas gratuitas para la detección temprana de cáncer de mama.
“ Lo que salva vida es un diagnóstico temprano, lo que hace que una mamá vea crecer a sus hijos y salir adelante “ dijo el alcalde al hablar de la importancia que es el promover estas campañas, para la detección temprana del cáncer y hacer una diferencia.
El presidente municipal Carlos Peña Ortiz durante este acto reconoció la importancia de apoyar con los estudios clínicos de forma gratuita, para que así la gente tenga la oportunidad de poder atenderse a tiempo.
En palabras de la señora Norma Leticia Faz Sánchez, paciente de cáncer de mama, reconoció el compromiso de las autoridades al recordar que fue gracias al DIF y a este tipo de campañas, donde ella se pudo apoyar al conocer su diagnóstico.
“ Al saber sobre mi condición, me dio miedo, ya que la información que leía en las redes fue lo que ocasionó, pero al acercarme al DIF, me cambió mi pensamiento y aquí sigo, grcias presidente porque desde hace tiempo he visto su interés y apoyo “ expreso Norma Leticia.
Por su parte el Presidente del Patronato del Sistema DIF Carlos Peña Garza, al hacer uso de la palabra dejó en claro la importancia de que el Ayuntamiento impulse este tipo de campañas, llamando a la población a sumarse en esta lucha, invitando así acudan a consulta y realizarse la auto auto exploración.
De esta forma se dio el arranque de la campaña de la lucha contra el cáncer de mama, en donde el alcalde anunció una meta de al menos 400 estudios de mamografías gratuitas a las mujeres que lo soliciten mediante el Sistema DIF.
