Reynosa, Tamaulipas. La Comisión Municipal de Agua Potable de Reynosa, al cumplir su segundo día con el servicio de energía eléctrica cortado, se prepara para un largo pleito con la Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), a quien le debe más de 60 millones de pesos.
Actualmente en manos del Gobierno del Estado, el organismo operador del agua mantiene un adeudo histórico por consumo de luz, tanto de la obra de toma como de la potabilizadora, del edificio administrativo y del resto de sus instalaciones.
Por lo menos en dos ocasiones anteriores, el Municipio apoyó a la COMAPA en el pago del adeudo a fin de que no se suspendiera el servicio a la población, mediante transferencias económicas.
Este día, trabajadores de la Comisión de Agua procedieron a instalar una planta generadora de electricidad en la parte lateral, por la calle José de Escandón. A unos metros estaba un vehículo con muchos bidones con combustible, suficiente para alimentar la planta durante varios días.
En las redes sociales surgió la versión de que el corte de energía eléctrica a la COMAPA será prolongado y recomendaban a la población prepararse mediante el acopio de agua suficiente para atender sus necesidades básicas.
En el interior del organismo, este mediodía, la mayor parte estaba en penumbras. Unos focos alimentados por la planta auxiliar producían luz para iluminar las cajas, donde continuaba el cobro del servicio.
La dirigente del Sindicato, Norma González, comunicó que no hay información de la Gerencia sobre lo que está pasando.
Dijo que solo se sabe del adeudo y mencionó la versión de una estación radiodifusora donde se informó del corte de energía eléctrica a la obra de toma, lo que a final de cuentas podría ocasionar la suspensión del servicio.
Agregó que en ese momento el Gerente General del organismo, Alfonso Gómez Monroy se encontraba en la Presidencia Municipal, atendiendo la problemática generada por el adeudo con la CFE.
El 29 de mayo de 2020, por primera vez, la Comisión Federal de Electricidad aplicó la suspensión del servicio a la COMAPA por un adeudo de 3 millones de pesos correspondiente al mes de abril.
Posteriormente, el 22 de octubre de 2020, la CFE aplicó un corte de energía eléctrica a las plantas potabilizadoras de COMAPA y al Acueducto Anzaldúas debido al adeudo que de tiempo atrás se viene arrastrando.
Existe una orden del Juzgado de Distrito que impide a la Comisión Federal de Electricidad realizar cortes en el suministro del fluido para no perjudicar a los usuarios del servicio de agua potable, que son cerca de 250 mil.
La COMAPA, en la actualidad, solo recupera el 30% del monto de los recibos que factura, lo que ha provocado que funcione en números rojos.
No hay información oficial, pero versiones indican que el Gerente del organismo operador espera negociar con el Municipio un nuevo subsidio para pagar parte del adeudo con la CFE y reactivar el servicio de energía eléctrica.
